♥ A rant.

I'm entitled to have these every now and again.

I hate my parents.

I say this with all the love that my heart can muster.

They're actually quite fantastic as parents--I was always fed, clothed, nurtured, loved, and all that nonsense. Yet, they have let m e down in one major arena:

Financial Aid.

Yep. I went there.

I will never qualify for need-based aid. My dad does well enough to ensure that.
I will never qualify for minority aid. I am, as it were, a pasty white girl. Being Jewish doesn't even get me anything. ;)

SO, when there's a chance of a job on campus, I read the fine beyond fine print. making sure that it's available to EVERYONE, not just federal people.

I feel cheated and lied to. They said it was open to everyone. but it was really just available to need-based people of a certain group of majors.

So why couldn't they have told me this BEFORE I applied????

t-490 days and counting,
J.
