♥ And in this crazy life..
And through these crazy times,
It's you, It's you
You're why I sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
---Michael Buble, Everything.
That's the front runner for first dance song right now. C doesn't want me to cry (He's asking a lot of me) and so I need something upbeat for that. :)
The whole music aspect of the wedding is what's giving me the hardest time. I'm having trouble thinking of music that isn't cheesy/boring that is still romantic. I know I want our recessional to be "Ever After" by Carrie Underwood. If you've seen Enchanted, it's the song that plays in the credits. As far as processionals and all that nonsense... I have no idea. I have no idea what my ceremony even looks like right now, but a lot of that is because he and I don't know what traditions we're including.
I've got some Jewish heritage, he has some Japanese heritage(He's a 1/4), So we're including both in the wedding because it's important to us. The only Japanese tradition I can find is San San Ku Do, which is us and our parents drinking sake together to symbolize the bond that we're forming. Jewish traditions....well we're having a Chuppah. He's going to stomp on the glass, and a man who is like an uncle to me is going to read the wine blessings.
The ceremony is probably going to be my biggest headache...just because It's going to take time to decide what we're including, what music to use, what readings aren't nauseating, etc. I can do the reception-- part of my degree is Event Planning, so vendors, djs flowers food....that's normal to me. But something as sentimental as the ceremony takes a lot of time and thought.... Good thing I have all this time to do it. ;)
t-16 months and counting...
