♥ And so it goes...
I love planning things, no lie. I love being able to see things come to fruition. I can't WAIT for the next 17 months to pass and we can finally be all legal and stuff.
One question I keep getting is if I think he'll be deployed, and what will I do then??
A) Yes, Probably. I remind myself daily that it's a possibility, but it probably won't be for us for the next couple years because he's in training and will be.
B) I'll stand by him and probably get even crazier. There's not a whole lot I CAN do in the face of a deployment, so it's just about us supporting each other to get through it. Do I worry? Yes. Always. Does your asking me that question help? No. Not at all. I understand that in some towns/states you don't run into military people very often so it's a natural question to ask, but I can also tell you that I don't need the constant reminders from people.
I will not go into my views on the war, because that's not what this is about. I will just say that we're there, and that's not going to change real soon. Do something about it--send a letter, sunscreen, aloe vera, SOMETHING to deployed soldiers instead of just sitting on your butt and complaining about it.

I'm trying to update this on a weekly basis, but life has been crazy.(Shocking, I know)
I --finally-- have a job! I'm working part-time at Babies R Us starting hopefully next week. I have a decent pay rate and they're okay with my availability, which is even better.
C has leave in a few weeks, and I'm very excited!! He's so sweet to me, and apologizes and makes up for things that aren't even that big of a deal to me, but he feels bad because they hurt my feelings a little bit.
One thing that I absolutely love about our relationship is how committed we both are to making sure that it's happy and healthy. For us to be married by my church, we have to read two books: Fit to be Tied(Bill and Lynne Hybels) and the famed Five Love Languages. I've read them both, and C is working on it now. We've committed to each other to have 2 date nights a month(You know, once we even live in the same STATE as each other), and we've both agreed that divorce is absolutely not an option for us unless there's abuse, or if we have exhausted every other option. We've promised to be open with each other with how we're feeling or if one or the other of us is feeling unappreciated. I honestly have the utmost faith in our relationship, and I'm along for this crazy ride the Military will put us on.
All that said, the planning is chugging along. I have a friend designing our invites and related papergoods, and she's got really fantastic ideas. I love that I can give her a few ideas, and she'll run with them in a way that I'm comfortable with. :) I have an idea on favors, but we'll see how C feels about him, since I suppose he's supposed to have a say in all this. ;)
